Cabin 2013 (part 2)

 Husking some corn. My kids love corn on the cob. Carter usually eats at least 3 or 4 ears. They love it. Its something about being in the mountains and eating veggies from my dads garden, it doesn't get any better!

Crew loved exploring around the cabin and getting filthy dirty! That's what the mountains do.

There was a herd of deer hanging out by our cabin and they were all bucks. Pretty big to. They kids were amazed! Okay, Okay Brook and I were also very amazed. We chased these poor deer all around. We were like little kid hunters. It was so fun!

Me and my girl! I sure love this girl even if I have to remind myself of that fact! She desperately needs to get back in the routine of school as soon as possible!

We had a blast at our family camp this year! Spending time with G&G and cousins and uncles and aunts was much needed! Can't wait until next year!!

Cabin 2013 (part 1)

Every year we try to have a "family camp" with my family. We spent our time this year up at our family cabin. It was so always SO much fun!! The kids loved the many walks down to the playground.

 We walked down to Sundance and got suckers. 

We were planning on going up to Park City to the alpine slide but it was crazy raining so we decided to go bowling instead. Bowling is always a favorite of my family. We loved it!

 Uncle Jens was so nice to make all of the kids whistles from trees he found. They loved it!!

Lake Powell (Part 2)

Wave runner football was AWESOME this year! We are getting better at it. Nate is the best thrower, Brook is the best driver, Reed is the best catcher and I am the best Action Shot Photographer. But this year us girls got in on the action and did pretty good, if I do say so myself! We caught a lot and got some great action shots!

The boys thought it was a good idea to climb up a cliff and push big rocks off the mountain. They were like little boys!

We had a photo session and this is the only picture I dare to put on this blog. People don't need to see the rest. We were so lucky to have April come with us this year! She was a blast to have along. I hope it was a life changing vacation for her!! ;)

We watched a movie up on the top of the house boat with the projector. The kids loved it!!

Ice cream in 100 degree weather. It doesn't get much better!

We had a fierce game of pounce one night! It got pretty intense! It was fun!!!

We had a very successful Lake Powell trip this year! As always so relaxing and fun in the sun! Looking forward to next year...

Lake Powell 2013 (part 1)

Lake Powell is one of my most favorite week of the year! It is my perfect vacation...sun, water, family, friends, no cell service and tons of FUN!!!! This year was very successful for all of those requirements. We left Crew and Colbie with my parents who are always AMAZING to watch grandkids for a whole week!!! THANK YOU mom and dad you are the BEST!!! 

We forgot to bring a golf club...duh! So our golf game struggled this year. But it was still fun and we get better and better every year!

Every year my mother in law brings this awesome cow costume and one night after dinner they just drive slowly up and down the canyons. It is pretty hilarious. The other house boats around think it's pretty funny. What an awesome tradition.

Carter skiing. He did awesome!! Carter skied last year but I didn't get to see it so I was so proud to watch him this year. He loved it!

Camden loved it also. She is a pro by now. She did awesome!!

At night every night we would jump in and have a family bath time! It was the perfect way to cool down for the evening. Plus you go to bed clean.(well as clean as you can get with soap in LAKE water)

Lagoon

The same weekend of the 4th we decided to take the kids to Lagoon. With the help of G&G and Aunt Joan we had an awesome time!! The kids were in heaven and thought this place was our very own Disneyland.

Even Crew got to ride 2 rides and he thought he was something special. He didn't want to get out of this little car. He looked so cute!!

We could have spent the entire day at just the bumper cars for this little lady. She loved it. She would just turn the wheel so she could go around and around in circles. It was hilarious. She loved all of the rides and dared to go on some big roller coasters. Brave girl.

The Carousel is always a hit.

Colbie looks a little terrified in this picture but if you could hear the squeal of happiness that accompanied it would make sense. This was her first ride and she wasn't quite sure what she was in for. But she loved it and went on every ride after!
