Easter Fun

Dying Easter Eggs is something my kids look forward to doing all year long. They love it. It usually lasts all but 10 mins but they love it still. This year i got the cups full of the dye and let them at it. They did awesome. They even invented some cool new colors.
Camden wrote messages on each of her eggs and took her time with the whole dying process.

Cawas wrote on a few and had them all in a color in about 3 mins. But after he figured out he could put them in different colors and re-dunk the same egg over and over his 10 min egg dying streched for about 30 mins. It was fun to watch them. They are getting so big to do these things on their own.

The finished product.

Easter Sunday. My kids looked so cute in their new easter outfits. I love having a reason to buy new sunday clothes. Cause i HATE buying sunday clothes.

Colbie was having a rough day sunday and i don't think she felt very good. She is starting to cut her 2 year old molars and she is a bear. But she still looked super cute in her little dress!!

Finding where the easter bunny hid the baskets. I love that my kids get into holidays more and more each year. It makes it fun again for mom. The easter bunny hid the baskets SO good this year the kids needed help finding them.

Colbie followed the kids around the basement at first kinda like "what the crap are we doing?" but as soon as Camden found her basket Colbie yelled "yay" and took off to find hers. She found hers in the tub and was so excited! It was so cute.

After naps we had a yummy chill BBQ with friends (i didn't feel in the mood so we opted out regular easter food and went with some burgers) Then we had a little easter egg hunt in the backyard. Which i only got 1 picture of Colbie finding the last egg, I know I am a slacker. All in all we had a great easter!

The Zoo

Colbies first time at the zoo. She loved all of it and was such a nice girl considering she didn't get a nap. She LOVED the monkeys, they were her favorite although every animal got her pretty excited. She would sit and jibber a whole sentence excitedly when she spotted the animals. Here she is waving and blowing kisses to the monkeys.
Elephants, the kid loved the little baby elephant.

All of the kiddos and Grandma riding the Rhino.

We found some grass and had a fun picnic. Colbie just sat on a rock with her lunch and people watched. I can't believe how big she is getting. The last time we went to the zoo i was about as fat with Colbie as i am this time with our baby boy. Man, how time flys!

It was such nice weather. The kids even got a little sun kissed on their cheeks. Oh that made me so excited to summer!!

Camden and Grandma were copying this cute baby monkey and its mom. Oh it was the cutest tiniest baby monkey i have ever seen. It just clung to its mom and balanced. It was amazing.

Riding the Zebra. The zoo was under construction and they didn't have any Zebras. It was kindof a bummer but the zoo will be way nice when they have it all back open. Can't wait to go back and see all of the new stuff and hopefully new animals.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!

Well maybe just tigers! Colbie loved them and was growling at them.

We had so much fun enjoying the weather and the company of family and the zoo this year!! I am so looking forward to many outside activities in the coming months.

Early Easter Hunt...

We went to Utah for the 1st half of spring break for a baby appt and a little get away. While we were there the fam got together, minus Reed and Melinda and kids, (who were very missed) for our 2nd annual Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt. It was such nice weather just a tad windy but that didn't stop these kids. They had a blast. Running all around the neighborhood for clues and treats. G & G spoil these kids.
They were so excited to get started!

The cousins, passing out the goods!!

So excited for all of his yummy treats.

I can't believe how big this girl looks. So old. And just look how green the grass is in Utah, AHHHH i am so jealous!

THis little lady was usually the last one to roll up to the stop but she thought she was so big carrying her own easter basket.

Sometimes it was just easier to get a ride!

I just love when my kids get along and love eachother. It makes me happy!

totally random thought but this little boy did SO good all weekend wearing his glasses. He has struggled with them since he got them but he has been wearing them all day for the past few days. I am so proud of him. That has to be hard at age 4 to be a boy and all the sudden have to start wearing glasses. He is such a good boy!!

The last clue!! The kids had to dig in the garden for the lunch. They loved it and it was well worth it.

Enjoying the lunch out of the wind. Thank you to G & G for the fun Easter party!

Then Cawas topped the afternoon off by giving nice massages!
