Lagoon

The same weekend of the 4th we decided to take the kids to Lagoon. With the help of G&G and Aunt Joan we had an awesome time!! The kids were in heaven and thought this place was our very own Disneyland.

Even Crew got to ride 2 rides and he thought he was something special. He didn't want to get out of this little car. He looked so cute!!

We could have spent the entire day at just the bumper cars for this little lady. She loved it. She would just turn the wheel so she could go around and around in circles. It was hilarious. She loved all of the rides and dared to go on some big roller coasters. Brave girl.

The Carousel is always a hit.

Colbie looks a little terrified in this picture but if you could hear the squeal of happiness that accompanied it would make sense. This was her first ride and she wasn't quite sure what she was in for. But she loved it and went on every ride after!

4th of July

Cute kids all dressed in red, white and blue! I love the summer and I love this holiday. Mainly because it means BBQ's and being outside in the sunshine!!
Such patriotic children!
We went to G&G's for the holiday and we had such a fun day and weekend!!

Of course my kids couldn't wait to get into the pool. They are always the first ones in and the last ones out. Especially Camden, She loves it! But Crew is a fan of the water! He loves putting his face under and splashing everywhere. He is really exhausting to hold anytime but in the water he is extra wiggly.

Colbie is die hard and fearless of everything especially water. She loves it. She wanted to try the slide by herself and she had a blast. Her face is full of fear in this picture and I love that cause it shows that maybe she is a little scared, she just won't admit it.
This little girl, thanks to Kayden, learned and kept practicing a backflip off the diving board. She was pretty darn good. I am very proud of her for trying it. She is a little brave thing. I for some reason didn't get a picture of Carter in the pool but he is doing awesome to. He doesn't need his floaties at all and he jumps off the diving board like its nothing now. He is such a good little swimmer!

Thursday morning our friends, Sarah and Brock, who moved to Vegas 2 years ago were driving through Utah and they stopped to see us. It was so fun to catch up with them while all our kiddos swam. We miss them so much but we have actually made time every summer to see them for at least a few hours. Its the perfect tradition and we need to start planning our reunion for next summer. Thanks guys for stopping and hangin with us!

We had a fun BBQ with the family and then spent the rest of the day in the pool! That night my mother in law knew some neighbors who bought like 500 bucks worth of fire works so we walked over and enjoyed an awesome firework show. Well everyone enjoyed it but Crew. He hated the bright flashing lights and loud noises. He screamed and cried the entire time. Poor Boy!

Enjoying the show!!
It was the perfect, relaxing, enjoyable 4th of July!!

Handsomeness...

This little man makes me smile! He is always happy even on a 2 hour drive to Grandmas. I point the camera in his direction and this is what I get!! What a handsome guy!

Birthday Girl

This little lady had been looking forward to her birthday since Crew celebrated his a month ago. She was one happy girl when the day finally arrived. She thought she was pretty cool when everybody was singing Happy Birthday just to her. I wish I could capture her proud little face but pictures just don't do it justice. We went to the summer movie and then came home and played in the water in the backyard which is Colbies favorite.
Colbie has been telling me for months that she wanted a Rapunzel birthday cake. Well I don't have very good cake making skills so I decided to just buy some princesses and call that good. It was a hit. Not only did she love it because there were toys on it but it was pink and what more could a girl wish for. She was a happy camper.
We had cousins over and sang and had cake and ice cream! It was a successful birthday!
This little girl was so happy to turn 3 but I was a little sad. Time is going way to fast and I can't believe this girl is 3. She is our little firecracker and we love her so much!!

All About Colbie

This little rascal celebrated her 3rd birthday last week! She has been looking forward to her birthday for about a month now. Ever since Crews birthday. She loves it when people sing to her, silly girl! Well Colbie has always been a little firecracker and she still very much is. She is super headstrong and independent. I love it but man it can be a struggle. Colbie likes to do EVERYTHING by herself and she will scream and throw a fit if I help at all. Colbie cries ALL the time! If you ever tell her no or even you look at her wrong she will be embarrassed and burst into tears. Colbie can be a handful but she is also amazingly cute and hilarious most of the time. She has the most beautiful smile, it just melts my heart. We sure love this little 3 year old!!

Tradition

Last week we had our Annual "Week with Lacey". We have such busy lives and live so far away from each other my best friend and I have to schedule time to spend together. It is always so fun to get together and let the kids play for the week. The first night we went down to Laceys Mom's house and had a fun BBQ!
These two goof balls are the best of friends! They just love each other. Colbie said the other day while we were back home that she wished our town had a "Jay"!

The kids spent lots of time driving the tractor!

We spent a lot of time in the back yard in the pool and slip n slide and tramp!

Water fights!

Enjoyed some snow cones! We have quite a group cause my niece and nephew came to play for the week and Lacey's older brothers kids came to play to. I just love how the 2nd generation "Helfins" are such good friends!!

Thursday the girls got to go to a "Princess Teaparty" they thought it was pretty awesome. They loved it cause the PG Royalty was there and they had tons of fun activities!  I didn't go but Lacey said that Colbie attached her self to the one of the queens and had a blast!
I went with Jay and took these handsome boys and Crew golfing! They had a BLAST!!

We hiked to the waterfall and played in the water! The kids loved it!

Carter and Hunter! They had fun playing with each other. They had a few little fights but for the most part they played good and had so much fun!!

Then we even enjoyed a fire and yummy smores. It doesn't get much better!

Lacey and I! I am so glad that Lacey and I are still the best of friends and get to do these fun things together. We did all of these things and so much more. I love how close our kids are and hope this tradition lasts for many, many more years! It better, Lace.
