best friends

 

Brooks best friend, Chase and his wife Nicole, had a little boy, Weston, 2 days before Crew was born. So these little boys are meant to be best friends!! We were so excited when we both ended up being pregnant and due the same time. Crew weighed more when he was born so he looks way bigger then Weston in the top picture. Plus he was literally only about 10 mins. old so he is bundled up with a few blankets to keep him warm.

 

In July Chase and Nicole and their cute family came up to visit us so these boys got to meet again. Crew is still a little bigger and he probably always will be since he is our football player. They are so cute!! I can't wait to watch these two grow up and be best friends. If their dads get their way these boys will grow up next door to each other and sharing dirt bikes. Little buddies!!

 

Camden and Addie are bffs too, and they are both the best big sisters!

 

We are always going to have to compare these two is size since they are born so close to each other. Such handsome little men!!!



Crew update

 

When people say that by the time #4 comes around he doesn't get as much attention. For our family that Myth is NOT true at all!! This little boy has somebody loving on him at all times! He sure does love his big brother and sisters. They can always get him to smile. It took me forever to catch a picture of Crews little smile. This was the first hint of a smile we finally got. Now he won't stop smiling which we love!! But when I finally catch up blogging we will see my happy chunky baby!! 

Crew is a mini me of his daddy!! Everything about this boy is his daddy!! He looks just like him and his personality is identical. Chill, quiet, chill, happy and chill!! He is the very best baby I have even seen. I always have to double check when we go places that we remembered to grab him. Cause he is so quiet he would be easy to forget. What a sweet boy! We sure love him!! 

 

I was a little nervous how this little monster would be with her baby brother. She has never been anything but sweet, soft and nice to Crew. She loves him so much and she hasn't been jealous at all. I have a feeling these two are going to be little buddies. Lets just hope she doesn't teach him all of naughty ways!

2012 Helquist Family FUN

It's hard as our families get bigger and older to get together and spend some quality time. So every year with my family we schedule a week during the summer to save for a family fun event!! This year with Crew being still so little we decided to stay close to home and do some fun day activities. So day 1 we tried Trafalga in Lehi. It was super fun!! The kids loved every min of it. They loved the rides, the arcades and the mini golf. They had this boat ride that was super fun, the kids had a blast on it. You drive around and spray the crap out of everybody. I some how was the target of every single spray gun! The kids thought it was hilarious to drown mom. Plus my brother wasn't helping. It was very fun!! 

We took some time out  for a pizza break. Colbie was in heaven with Grandpa and pizza!!

After a day full of fun at Trafalga, Grandpa said that it wasn't a party without a sleep out in the tent! They set up the laptop and watched Ice Age in the tent with Grandpa. It doesn't get much better then that. The kids thought that was the coolest thing ever. What a fun Grandpa!!

 

Day 2

We went to the theater and watched Ice Age 4. It was so cute as always, I love all of the Ice Age movies. Then we played outside and drove the John Deer and played in the fun big pool my parents bought and set up. It was a hit. The kids love anything to do with water so this was perfect. They were in heaven, once again.

These kids are water babies!! Day 3 and 4 all the kids wanted to do was swim in the pool. It was good weather so we just hung out and swam. It was a great 2012 summer Helquist family party! Next year we need Brook, Jay and Corrisa to join us and it will be complete!!

 

Oh and this little boy was there!! We missed his daddy but Crew was there he was just not in any pictures cause he is such a good baby he just hangs out quietly wherever we go!

My First 4th

 

My first 4th of July!!

Crew is 7 weeks old on his first 4th of July. He is such a good baby he just hangs out!! Such a happy boy! He didn't even mind the loud noise, I don't even think he noticed. What a cutie!!

We stayed in town this 4th July and just had fun at home. We had a bbq with friends and did some fun fireworks at home and then watched the town fireworks which weren't too shabby! The perfect way to spend the 4th. With good friends, good food and a whole lot of chill!!

Sparklers are always a crowd pleaser!

Colbie wasn't to sure about all of the noise and lights. The sparklers were a little much, she just held it away from her and watched it until it went out!

 2 birthday parties for this 2 year old!! Spoiled little thing!! We headed to Utah for more celebrations! We can't resist a pool party with such amazing weather. Plus there are not any kid on this planet that like water more than my 3 little crazies!!

 

 

This monkey LOVES the water. She jumps in with no fear, holds her breath on her own and comes up smiling!

Oh so Sweet

 

This little girlie can pose!! She is such a little character. My friend once again took the most amazing pictures of the terrible little 2 year old. HUMUNGO thanks to Jessica!! There is NO way I could only pick 1 or even 2 of these pictures. They all capture our little Colbie perfectly!! SO SO SWEET!!

 

Jessica was sitting on the road trying to get a good angle for a picture and Colbie jumped off her little bench and plopped down on the road next to Jessica. It was super cute!!
